Dr Chris Ludlow has been working in psychology and counseling for 7 years. He began his career in prisons, working within a program that helped inmates overcome criminal conduct and addiction. Since then he has worked in a wide range of areas including drug treatment centers, mental health, inpatient psychiatric unites, and private practice.

Having worked in a wide range of clinical settings, Dr Chris Ludlow has developed a broad knowledge-base to help people with their emotional, relationship, and behavioral problems. Chris works with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults and is an expert on severe mental illness (e.g., depression, PTSD, OCD, addiction, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, postnatal depression, schizophrenia, social phobia, suicidality) and its treatment. In addition, Dr Ludlow has worked with many families and couples during times of difficulty (e.g., divorce, family breakdown, couples counseling, childhood behavioral disorders) and has a great deal of experience helping people under stress due to unfortunate life circumstances (e.g., work problems, redundancy, physical health problems, grief/loss). Chris also enjoys working with children with anxiety disorders between the ages of 8 - 12 due to his previous successes in that area.

Clients benefit from Dr Ludlow’s practical approach to helping people. Goals are set at the beginning of therapy, and systematically pursued to achieve the desired outcome. Chris utilizes his broad clinical knowledge and training in scientific psychology to inform the work that he does with patients. He is trained in a wide range of therapies for the treatment of mental illness, and is non-judgmental, with a vast respect for the goals, values, and perspectives of his clients.

"I am focused on achieving outcomes for my patients. I have worked in a broad range of settings as a psychologist, which means I have a good knowledge-base for helping you with your problems. Some of these settings include: the mental health system, family counselling agencies, addiction treatment centers, the child/youth mental health service, prisons, hospitals, and private practice. I believe that every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your needs. I have a common sense approach to working with people and I teach my patients strategies so that they can gain greater control over their lives."
