Dr. Stephanie Stephens is a Senior Psychologist, and is a mature graduate of Psychology, having previously worked as a high school mathematics and science teacher. Dr. Stephens earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of Queensland. She has developed a strong expertise and is highly qualified in the use of Clinical Hypnosis within a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy context as part of her counselling framework.
Dr. Stephens has trained with Dr. Alan Fahey from the College of Medical Hypnosis; Clinical Hypnosis training from the College of Medical Hypnosis is the only course recognised and approved by medical colleges such as the RACGP, and by the General Practice Mental Health Council of Australia.
 

 

With an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis from the College of Medical Hypnosis. Dr. Stephens is dedicated to assisting clients with overcoming any difficulties that hold them back in life. This includes anxiety and depression, ageing transitions, pain, phobias, personal limitations, sexual difficulties, sleep difficulties, smoking cessation, and weight management. Her approach to clinical hypnosis is that each session is specifically tailored to the individual client’s need. Dr. Stephens has found that clients gain profound satisfaction in learning to understand themselves and learn to formulate their own unique way to overcome the difficulties in their lives.

Dr. Stephens principally sees clients individually.  Those clients with sexual difficulties and dysfunctions receive individual or couples therapy, as appropriate.

Please note that Dr Stephens prefers to see clients who are over 20 years of age.
