Through identifying any unconscious factors that may have played, and/or may still play a strongly influential role in career decision making, Career Guidance, or Vocational counselling, distinguishes occupational values, strengths and suitability as well as potential areas of work that would be fulfilling.
Vocational Counselling is a great way to;
• Successfully manage a voluntary or involuntary career transition
• Discover your talents, values, skills and passions
• Move forward in your career, and stay on track with your plan
Vocational Counselling is suitable for adolescent and adult clients who are interested in choosing a career, managing career development and/or exploring career options as part of a transition into a different career path.
• Adolescents wishing to choose a university course and needing guidance and clarity as to which career direction to take
• Young adults moving into the workforce and would like some options and guidance on how to improve and develop their careers in their chosen fields
• Young and/or mature adults who are unhappy in their current jobs, and would like to explore new avenues in their industry and/or transition into a new industry altogether
Through a range of behavioral interviews and/or psychometric tests the client's current knowledge, skills and abilities are assessed, as well as their work preferences and work personality styles. Career options are explored, and we work through the operational details together (researching further study options, business ideas etc.) to create a career plan, and most importantly, get into action.
